Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse credential from Kansas Board of Nursing required prior to hire.
• Advanced Life Support, BLS, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications needed.
• Previous experience in an Emergency Room preferred.

We Are Hiring

• Department:Emergency Department
• Schedule:FT Nights (7pm-6:30am); 3 - 12 Hour Shifts with Every 3rd Weekend
• Hospital:Ascension Via Christi
• Location:Manhattan, KS

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

• Previous experience as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse is strongly preferred.
