Geisinger is proud to offer a full time Inpatient RN up to $21,500 hiring incentive for eligible candidates! $41 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Relocation assistance for eligible candidates!Job Duties:
Assesses plans, organizes, performs, and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient. Promotes adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction. Exhibits compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions. Coordinates patient care and interaction of staff. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in their assigned nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring the very best patient and family experience by optimizing all interactions.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. 1.0 FTE, night shift. Orient on 1.0 (40 hours per week) and can transition to (3)12s once off orientation. Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Unit Description:
Join our amazing Emergency Department at Geisinger Medical Center! This hospital is a level 1 Adult Trauma Center, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and first comprehensive heart attack center in the nation.The care of many of our patients starts in our Emergency Department- 44 bed total: 3 Trauma Bays, 9 in a Pediatric zone just outside the ED proper, and 2 Rapid Evaluation Rooms; 42 of the 44 beds have monitors.
The Emergency Department has a team nursing concept and works with many different service lines in the health care system. Geisinger Medical Center has a fast paced, high acuity Emergency Department that is constantly changing to improve the care that we provide to our patients. We are looking for applicants that work well in a team environment, have a positive attitude, and can adjust quickly to changes in plan.
