Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN Summary

Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge.

• Registered Nurse Supervisor, RN organizes, oversees, & supervises assigned unit activities & staff assignments & demonstrates clinical expertise consistent with the established standards of Nursing Practice.
• Identifies, responds appropriately & timely to patient needs.
• Monitors, observes, & documents vital signs, treatments administered, & patient responses.
• Administers medications & treatments as needed.
• Communicates and directs service plans, concerns, and information to team members, residents, families, or medical staff as needed.
• Follows disciplinary policies as stated.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team, physicians, & other vendors/services.
• Performs RN assessments post-incident or upon change in condition.
• Leads & directs emergency situations (fire alarms, elopements, etc.).
• Maintains accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, & census roster.

Requirements

• Current & good standing RN License in New York State.
• Experience with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer’s patients is desirable.
• Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting; supervisory experience preferred.
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, compassionate care.
• Genuinely interested in helping residents who are ill, injured, disabled, or emotionally upset.
• Patience & willingness to assist residents & co-workers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, & organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, flexible, and harmonious with staff.
