Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a PRN/Pool Registered Nurse to join the Pre-Admission Testing team at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital.

The RN will provide independent nursing care for a sub-specialty, delegate tasks appropriately, and serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Credentials include BLS, RN license; ACLS if required by department; 18 months RN experience with preference in pre-admission testing; strong interpersonal and clinical skills required.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification is required.
• RN license is required.
• ACLS Certification is required if dictated by department.
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred.
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned
