Qualifications

• 1-year experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting.
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, records, and updates care team on patient vitals.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care.

**Positions details:**

+ **Location:** St. Anthony's Hospital – Cardiovascular ICU – St. Petersburg, Florida

+ **Status:** **Part Time**

+ **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

+ Every other weekend requirement

+ **On Call:** No

+ Always in person

**Requirements:**

+ RN (Registered Nurse) License

+ Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

+ 1-year experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting

+ BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

+ ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The **Registered Nurse – ICU** responsibilities and skills:

+ Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

+ Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

+ Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care

+ Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

+ Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

+ Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

+ Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

+ High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
