Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, TX seeks a capable registered nurse to provide routine and complex nursing care, practicing independently within the nursing process and coordinating with the care team.

You will assess patient needs, document histories and treatments, educate patients and families, administer medications according to protocols, and help manage contingencies while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.

• Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
