Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, Texas is seeking a full-time registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. The role requires independent assessment, planning, and evaluation, with administration of medications and patient education. BLS and an active RN license (state or compact) are required.

The candidate should have a BSN preferred and 1 year of related nursing experience. Schedule is 7AM–7PM, with full-time employment in a hospital/clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

• Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.


• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.


• Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
