Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Wisconsin is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 28-bed Cardiopulmonary Unit. The position is 0.8 FTE with 8-hour PM shifts (2:30pm–11:00pm) and every other weekend/holiday.

You will care for patients post-MI, post-open heart surgery, and with various pulmonary conditions, emphasizing rehab and patient education. Starting pay is $38.96/hour with shift and weekendDifferentials, a supportive team, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• RN license to work in Wisconsin required.
• Current BLS for Health Care Providers (Infant-Adult) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for cardiopulmonary patients including post-MI, post-open heart surgery, post thoracotomy, pacemakers, pre/post angiography.
• Emphasize rehabilitation, education and lifestyle modifications for patients.
• 8-hour PM shifts, 2:30pm-11:00pm, 0.8 FTE (64 hours/2 weeks).
• Work every other weekend and holiday.
• Adapt to a unit with virtual nursing and team-based care.

What you will do:

• 0.8 FTE - 64 hours every two week

• Care for a patient population including post MI, post-open heart surgery, post thoracotomy, pacemakers, pre and post angiography, post cardiothoracic surgery, COPD, congestive heart failure and pulmonary conditions
• RN's emphasize rehabilitation, education and lifestyle modifications for patients

What you will need:

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
• RN license to work in Wisconsin
