Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse to provide coordinated patient care in a high-acuity environment.

The RN assesses patient needs, plans and prioritizes care, and collaborates with the health care team while ensuring compliance with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. ADN is required; BLS must be obtained within 14 days; ACLS is required for Tele, ICU, PCU units; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Current Kansas RN Licensure required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role; ACLS for specific units.
• All required certifications must be completed within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
• Assess patient and family needs, develop and prioritize goals, and evaluate care delivery.
• Delegate care to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.

The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.

The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.

The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
