RN-Registered Nurse-Advanced Acute Care Transitions

Job Summary: Geisinger offers a full-time Inpatient RN position with up to $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. The minimum hiring rate is $41.00, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates. Unit Location: GP4.

Job Duties: Assess, plan, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs. Promote safety, patient satisfaction, and compassionate care. Coordinate patient care and staff interactions. Ensure care quality and optimize patient and family experiences.

  • Complete assessments per scope of practice and standards.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and coordinate care plans, including education and discharge planning.
  • Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostics.
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness and revise care plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate proactively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Manage equipment and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
  • Contribute to team goals and quality/safety initiatives.

Work is performed in a clinical environment, with adherence to policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills are considered essential.

Position Details: Focus on Palliative, Hospice, and Medical Surgical care in a newly renovated, peaceful environment with 14 private beds. Schedule: 0.9 FTE (36 hours), straight days, with rotating weekends and holidays.
