Job summary

Cardinal Care Strategies is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing and long-term care team in Muncie, IN. This position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities, with rotating shifts and on-call duties as needed.

You will provide direct nursing care, support care plans, supervise CNAs, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote residents' dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification (BLS) required.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health status and report changes to the RN or physician.
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized care plans.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, professional nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation.
• Monitor residents’ health status, observe for changes in condition, and report promptly to the RN or physician.
• Assist with developing, updating, and implementing individualized care plans.
• Supervise and direct Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure quality resident care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records and documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes for residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Promote residents’ rights, dignity, and independence.
• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Participate in continuing education and staff development activities.

• Ability to respond to emergency situations quickly and calmly.
