Job summary

Cypress Village in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a hospitality‑focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing team. The RN will oversee nursing care, administer medications, document treatments, and manage shift operations on 12‑hour shifts.

Qualified applicants hold an RN license in Florida, CPR certification, and have a background in geriatric care. Full-time positions with competitive benefits and shift differentials are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in Florida.
• At least 6 months of geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus and beneficial.
• Ability to generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing staff on shift.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed.
• Provide shift reports and round twice per shift.
• Keep physicians and families informed of changes in residents' condition.
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans and maintain documentation.
• Respond to emergency calls and ensure safe, clean environment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of care.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Our RNs work 12-hour shifts caring for our residents at our skilled nursing center.
