BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Pre-op team at St. Joseph’s Hospital - South.

Responsibilities

• Being proficient in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.




• Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.




• Professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization.




• Acting as a mentor and resource expert, supporting and sharing organizational information to all team members.




• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

Qualifications

Certifications and Licensures

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required




• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required




• ACLS Certification if required by department




• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.




• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

Education

• Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS Healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion

Experience

2 years of RN experience is required.
