Job summary

Role Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, administers medications, and documents care activities. Collaborates with healthcare team, educates patients and families, and ensures safety protocols including infection control, fall prevention, and restraint management. Recognizes and reports changes in patient conditions, supports discharge planning, and promotes service excellence and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills:

Requires current RN licensure in applicable states, BLS certification, critical care experience preferred, and the ability to adapt to changing demands. Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Key Duties:

Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, participate in performance improvement initiatives, maintain current knowledge of policies, and support a respectful, collaborative work environment. Capable of handling emergency situations and promoting quality patient outcomes.
