Job Objective

Acts as a member of the hospital Rapid Response Team (RRT), responding to and assisting with rapid response calls throughout the hospital. May also provide direct care, collaborate with patients, families, peers, physicians and other members of the health care team in the delivery of health care services to the specific patient population. The position assesses patient’s needs, evaluates patient care and responds quickly to all rapid response calls including, but not limited to, declining patients in the ICU and throughout the hospital. The RN-Rapid Response functions in accordance with the patient’s needs based on the knowledge of growth/development, the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. He/she demonstrates leadership/management skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth.
