Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN Radiology PRN to support radiology procedures and patient care. You will collaborate with physicians and radiology staff, document patient data accurately, and monitor patients during sedation as required.

Shifts include 8:00-4:30 or 7:30-3:30 with 3 shifts per week, occasional call for vacations, no night work. Requirements include RN license, ACLS within 1 year, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with radiology procedures in cooperation with the physician and radiology staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient data and assessments.
• Perform conscious sedation when needed and monitor patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff in a courteous manner.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Shifts 8 to 4:30, or 7-3:30.

The number of shifts needed per week are 3 give or take a day.

Call only here and there to cover vacations. 9 hours a day, no nights.

This position assists with radiology procedures in cooperation with the physician and other radiology personnel in accordance with the departmental policy and procedure manual and the Radiologist’s request. Must have the ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient data, perform continual patient assessments and proper conscious sedation when needed. Knowledge of radiology operations, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner are required. This position requires current broad knowledge of the assessment, treatment and care techniques and principles relevant to growth and development of neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
