Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO, seeks an RN Radiology PRN to support imaging services and patient care. This role involves assisting radiologists, documenting patient data, and performing urgent assessments with a focus on safety and sedation when needed.

Shifts are daytime, with 3 shifts per week plus travel to cover vacations; strong communication and teamwork are essential to coordinate care across patients from neonatal to geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications within specified timelines.
• Knowledge of radiology operations and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with radiology procedures in cooperation with physicians and radiology staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and conduct continual patient assessments.
• Provide conscious sedation when needed and ensure patient safety.
• Interact professionally with patients, physicians and personnel.
• Support care across neonatal to geriatric populations per policy.

Job Summary And Qualifications
Shifts 8 to 4:30, or 7-3:30.
The number of shifts needed per week are 3 give or take a day.
Call only here and there to cover vacations. 9 hours a day, no nights.
This position assists with radiology procedures in cooperation with the physician and other radiology personnel in accordance with the departmental policy and procedure manual and the Radiologist’s request. Must have the ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient data, perform continual patient assessments and proper conscious sedation when needed. Knowledge of radiology operations, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive and courteous manner are required. This position requires current broad knowledge of the assessment, treatment and care techniques and principles relevant to growth and development of neonate/infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.
What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
