Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Sherman Oaks Hospital seeks a Director of Quality & Risk Management, an RN with BSN and a master’s in a related field, to lead quality, patient safety, and risk management across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, or related field required.
• State RN licensure or healthcare license required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of clinical nursing experience, with 3-5 years in quality/risk leadership.
• Proven experience with accreditation processes (TJC, CMS) and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident reporting, and quality improvement strategies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with staff at all levels.
• Expertise in quality/risk management systems and accreditation survey processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organizational readiness for surveys and accreditation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical and operational quality standards.
• Drive performance improvement and accountability across departments.
• Identify and mitigate clinical and operational risks.
• Partner with senior leadership to improve patient outcomes.
• Lead staff education related to quality, safety, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
