Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville is seeking an RN for the Pulmonary Medicine Unit to provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. You will apply critical thinking to assess patients, plan and evaluate care, and document observations.

The role requires 1+ year of inpatient RN experience, a nursing degree, and IL RN licensure with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
• Requires 1+ years RN experience in an inpatient unit.
• If Associate Degree is highest, must obtain Bachelor’s within five years.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care per Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patients, monitor progress, and document observations.
• Delegate care tasks and function as a team member to meet unit goals.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: RN - Pulmonary Medicine Unit
• Location: Edward Main Hospital - Naperville
• Full Time: 36 hours/week
• Hours: Days 7:00am-7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays

What you will need:

• Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
• Required Education, Skills and/or Experience: Requires 1+ years' of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
• Required License and/or Certification: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross

What you will do:

• Provides professional nursing care according in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients’ condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients’ progress, and records pertinent observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
