Job summary

Management & Training Corporation provides an opportunity for a dedicated RN to deliver clinical care at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. The nurse will treat and prevent minor injuries and illnesses, guide student health, and support wellness within the program context.

The full-time position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with a pay rate of $36.69 per hour and an extensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision/life, AD&D, disability coverage, a 401(k), PTO,

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within state scope for nurse practice.
• Provide supervision to LPNs/LVNs to ensure compliance with state regulations and nurse practice act.
• Provide basic health care to students including entry requirements and immunizations.
• Monitor students with illness and those unable to attend class.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and be available outside of regular hours for urgent situations.

What you will be doing:

You'll be responsible for treating and preventing minor injuries and illnesses assuring all medical clinical care is provided to students. They will provide information and guidance for the promotion of good health and well-being of our students.

Essential functions:

• Provide nursing care to students as authorized by the medical provider and within scope for state-specific nurse practice act
• Provide supervision to the staff LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurse)/ LVNs to assure compliance with all state regulations and scope of practice and nurse practice act for practical and/ or vocational nurses
• Provide basic health care to students as required by DOL including all entry requirements and immunizations
• Monitor students with illness and unable to attend class.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and be available outside of regularly scheduled work hours to provide consultation, guidance, and support for urgent situations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Valid, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Experience working with youth in a paid or unpaid capacity is preferred.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
