A leading staffing and recruiting agency is seeking a Registered Nurse for psychiatric care on the day shift. This full-time position involves providing direct patient care, medication administration, and documentation, along with educational support to patients and families. Ideal candidates should possess an RN license and have experience with psychiatric patients. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or RN Diploma.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year with psychiatric/behavioral patients.
• Licensure: Current TN or Multi-State RN license required.

Job Summary:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Job Details:

• Full-time; 36 hours/week

Job Duties:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care with other disciplines, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides appropriate education.
• Acts as an advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in Handle with Care or CPI training as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or RN Diploma.
• Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, stress management.
• Certifications: BLS required upon hire; ACLS within 12 months.
• Licensure: Current TN or Multi-State RN license.
