Job Purpose or Mission
To improve the quality of life of patients and families by coordinating patient care processes of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and support services for the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service.

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates patient assessment, including data collection, physical and psychosocial assessments, and documentation.
- Determines nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and develops an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Delivers direct patient care, collaborates with the healthcare team, and educates patients and families.
- Reassesses and updates care plans based on patient progress and condition changes.
- Participates in staffing, emergency protocols, and maintains a safe environment.
Experience and Certification Requirements
- 1-year psychiatric experience preferred.
- Current Louisiana RN licensure.
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Certification and Addiction Certification encouraged/preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of HIPAA and safety practices, including incident reporting, PPE, and patient identification.
