Job summary

Logan Health in Kalispell, Montana, is seeking an RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to provide nurse-led, goal-directed care for high-acuity adult patients. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain safety and quality while educating patients and families.

This on-site full-time role includes night shifts; Montana licensed RNs or multi-state compact holders are eligible. BSN preferred, with 2+ years of experience and required certifications within stated timeframes.

• Minimum of two years’ nursing experience.
• RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire.
• NIHSS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN degree preferred.

BSN degree preferred.* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position required.* RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.* NIHSS must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.* Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.**Job Specific Duties:*** Develops, implements and coordinates individualized, goal directed nursing care to patients through the use of the nursing process as appropriate for RN’s as applicable to the assigned area(s).* Maintains nursing standards of care and responds to changing workloads and patient conditions by: remaining calm, making objective assessments, prioritizing, and asking for assistance as appropriate.* Transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments both verbal and written accurately and efficiently as noted by chart reviews and observation.
