Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9E Progressive Care Unit. You will gather and analyze patient information, develop and revise an individualized plan of care, and educate patients and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Michigan RN license, BLS, and ACLS for specified departments; a BSN is preferred with a commitment to obtain it within five years. This is a full-time position with rotating Day, Evening and Night shifts, including every other

Qualifications

• Graduation from nursing program with NCLEX eligibility (RN).
• Current Michigan RN license; BLS; ACLS required for selected units.
• BSN degree preferred; must obtain BSN within five years of hire/transfer.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient/family care.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze patient information.
• Develop, implement, evaluate and revise an individualized plan of care.
• Use teach back method to educate patient and family.
• Actively works to prevent hospital-acquired conditions.
• Effectively communicates patient status and priorities during rounds and handoffs.
• Follow HIPAA policies and St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals values.
