Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in New York is seeking registered nurses for our Progressive Care Unit 3-4, a 20-bed adult intermediate care setting. We’re offering up to a $10,000 recruitment bonus for qualified energetic RNs dedicated to patient care, with flexible scheduling and lower nurse-to-patient ratios by acuity.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York with at least 1 year of experience.
• BSN degree preferred according to NYS requirements.
• GN’s or RN’s with < 1-year experience should apply to Graduate Nurse Residency positions.
• Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to clinical nursing practice area preferred.
• Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
• Participates in continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration, communication and facilitation of optimal provision of care with assistance of computerized or digital platform.
• Assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Utilize clinical knowledge, critical thinking and case management to coordinate and support the plan of care.
• Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.
• Monitor quality metrics and ensure complete documentation in the patient record.
• Act as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant and navigator.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Current licensure in the State of New York

BSN preferred

Graduate Nurse Residency for GN’s

Specialty credentialing & specialty area education

Maintains licensures and certifications per NYS
