A healthcare staffing agency is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit in Jackson, MI. This full-time position requires a nursing degree and current state licensure, with a focus on delivering quality patient care. Candidates should have strong clinical skills and effective communication abilities. Shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working 3 days a week, totaling 36 hours.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

• BLS Certification from AHA.

Location: Jackson, MI

Duration: 3-4 Months (possibility of extension)

Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education

• Required Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

Certification & Licensure

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS Certification from AHA.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years PCU experience.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
