Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, coordinate perioperative and post-operative tasks, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to support safe, efficient transitions.

The role includes assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring cardiac patients, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• RN required with cardiac care exposure.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification required within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Administer medications and monitor response.
• Document care in the patient record promptly.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for cardiac patients.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Education

Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree
