Job summary

LewisGale Hospital Montgomery is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a cardiac/medical-surgical setting. The RN collaborates with providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative care and advocates for patients' experience.

The role requires AC/L ACLS and BLS completion within 30 days of start date, an RN license, and an Associate or Bachelor degree. No travel is required; benefits and professional growth are provided.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or pending licensure
• ACLS/BLS certifications within 30 days of start date
• Experience with post-operative and pre-operative care preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes
• Perform procedures or functions ordered by the medical provider
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses
• Maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical procedures and equipment
