Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a PRN Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered pre-operative and post-operative care in collaboration with medical providers. You will advocate for patients to support an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and each shift, performing procedures as ordered, documenting care in the medical record, administering medications, and maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical equipment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license and Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the patient record promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
