Job summary

Community Medical Centers in Fresno/Clovis, CA seeks a Program Coordinator for Perinatal Services to lead and support initiatives that improve outcomes for mothers and newborns. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain certifications and drive evidence-based practices.

The role focuses on monitoring performance metrics, conducting chart reviews, and managing CMQCC registries to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with perinatal quality

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or national certification related to specialty and applicable to role required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the Perinatal Care Program under the direction of the Perinatal Medical Director and Women's & Newborn Services leadership.
• Lead efforts to achieve and maintain advanced perinatal certifications and regulatory standards.
• Analyze and interpret clinical and quality data to identify trends, opportunities, and outcomes improvement initiatives.
• Perform detailed chart reviews and data abstraction to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with perinatal quality measures.
• Manage and maintain required perinatal registries, including CMQCC database.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and frontline staff to implement evidence-based practices and patient safety initiatives.
• Develop reports and presentations that highlight quality outcomes and program performance.
• Support staff education by sharing quality data, best practices, and improvement strategies through huddles, skills fairs, meetings, and other educational forums.

In this highly visible role, you will partner with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain advanced perinatal certifications, monitor performance metrics, and champion evidence-based practices that improve the care experience for mothers and newborns. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Labor & Delivery or Antepartum clinician who enjoys quality improvement, data analysis, and driving meaningful change.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or national certification related to specialty and applicable to role required

Experience

• 3 years RN experience in Labor and Delivery or Antepartum

Licenses and Certifications

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
