Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV seeks an experienced registered nurse for the Employee Health program. You will direct performance improvement initiatives and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other health care providers to ensure coordinated patient and family education.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Nursing, active RN license, BLS within 30 days, and 3 years of clinical nursing experience. A BSN and specialty certification are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN license in state of practice or multi-state license via eNLC.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and oversees Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other health care providers to ensure comprehensive patient and family education.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in patient outcomes and participates in plans to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and oversees preparation and submission of education programs to meet national standards of accreditation.
  • Prepares and conducts annual review of the program.
  • Assists in revision and review of policies and protocols.
  • Assists with marketing and program preparation.
  • Conducts daily rounds and/or audits on applicable patient population.
  • Supervises, trains, and promotes development of staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certification in area of specialty.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience in Nursing.
