Job summary

UW Health operates at University Hospital in Madison, seeking a dedicated RN for the EP Lab. The position entails 70% FTE with a day/evening shift, Monday through Friday, start times between 6:30am and 10:30am, and on‑call duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state(s) served at hire.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required at hire.

70% FTE, 8 hour day/evening shift, Monday - Friday with start times between 6:30am - 10:30am and on‑call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care, including patient triage, procedure preparation, intra‑procedure care, and post‑procedure recovery phases.
  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care or critical pathway.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • Specific to EP Lab—Previous moderate sedation experience Required
  • Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred
  • Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital‑wide project work Preferred
  • Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred
  • Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations—Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations – Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR – Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months – Required
  • Certification in area of specialty – Preferred
