McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to provide bedside care and implement the physician plans of care. You will perform hourly rounds, ensure patient safety, and maintain a caring environment for patients and families in a dynamic nursing unit.

Requirements include an active RN license verified by the LLR and BLS certification; experience with PRN shifts is preferred. The role supports a patient-centered approach with opportunities to precept newer staff.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nursing License verified by the LLR.
• BLS certification required for ALL nurses.
• PRN experience or readiness for PRN assignments.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing interventions per Plan of Care and physician plans.
• Conduct Hourly Rounds using service excellence standards.
• Foster caring, compassionate, respectful environment for patients and families.
• Use health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Care for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, and falls risk patients as applicable.
• Assist in department operations and precept novice staff when needed.

• Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
• Using service excellence standards, conducts Hourly Rounds.
• Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
• Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable to unit), restraints and patients at risk for falls.
• Contributes to the daily efficient performance of the department, as charge nurse when assigned (Advances Resuscitative Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position).
• Contributes to the overall performance of the department through the precepting of novice employees.
