What You’ll Need:

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

How You'll Impact Patient Care:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, leading the coordination of patient care from assessment to evaluation. Your expertise will be displayed as you prescribe, delegate, and carefully orchestrate nursing care tailored to each patient's unique needs, encompassing their age, health/illness status, and physiological/psychosocial well-being. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of AHWFB.
  • Patient Discharge & Referrals:Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
  • Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment: Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior. Embrace technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among the healthcare team, facilitating information sharing throughout the continuum of care. Active participation in our professional practice model and shared governance initiatives will promote teamwork, leadership, and clinical excellence.
