St. Michael’s Hospital Avera seeks a registered nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the healthcare team to meet evolving patient needs.

Responsibilities include teaching patients and families, evaluating outcomes, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate documentation. Active SD RN licensure and CPR are required; 6–12 months of clinical experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Must have active RN license in SD or multi-state privilege.
• Current CPR certification or completion upon hire.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program; 6–12 months clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis and objectives.
• Provides physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Reviews physician prescriptions and communicates the care plan to the health team.
• Develops care plans by taking histories, examining patients and documenting status.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications and self-care.
• Evaluates care by measuring outcomes and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintains safe environment, adheres to infection control and medication procedures.
• Documents care in patient records and ensures supplies are stocked.
