Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an RN for infusion care across the patient lifecycle. You will apply nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with GA RN licensure and BLS; infusion and oncology experience are strongly preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• BCLS/BLS certification required (or equivalent).
• Oncology or infusion experience preferred.
• Infusion nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Nurse licensure in Georgia (RN or multi-state).
• New graduates eligible; No experience required.

• Provide infusion nursing care to patients across the lifecycle.
• Coordinate patient care activities with assigned staff.
• Adhere to organizational policies and standards of practice.

Overview

The RN provides Infusion care.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required)
• Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience

• No experience required. New graduates of a nursing program eligible. (Required)
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting (Preferred)
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions (Preferred)
• Infusion experience strongly preferred
• Oncology experience strongly preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure; Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License (Required)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
• PALS certification (Preferred)
• OCN preferred; ONS Provider Card required within 180 days of hire
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
