Job summary

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care unit. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care during the shift, following ICU standards, and caring for adults across shifts.

Required are a nursing degree from an accredited program, an active Texas RN license, and current BLS; ACLS/PALS or acquisition within the first year is expected. Prior ICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Maintain active Texas RN license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS or obtain within first year in ICU.
• Experience in critical care or orientation/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for all patients in the unit during shift.
• Meet established Intensive Care Nursing Practice standards.
• Care for patients across age groups, with majority adults.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Texas RN license (Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners)

ACLS and PALS certification (or obtain within 1 year)

Current BLS certification

Performs the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all patients in the unit during shift. Responsible for meeting the established standards of Intensive Care Nursing Practice. Cares for patients in all age groups with the majority of patients being adults.
