Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Mississippi invites experienced registered nurses to join our care teams. You will assess patients, administer medications, and provide age-appropriate care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

You will educate families, promote safety, participate in procedures, and pursue lifelong learning. A one-year nursing background and RN licensure with BLS are required, with ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.
• Has knowledge of ordered medications and administers as prescribed.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient including basic self-care activities.
• Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; family is included in teaching as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Communicates/collaborates with multidisciplinary team in providing patient care.
• Promotes patient safety by reducing the risk of unnecessary harm associated with health care.
• Assumes lifelong learning related to the nursing profession.
