Job summary

Southern Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking an energetic Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. The RN provides bedside care, administers injections and medications, monitors residents, and documents changes to care plans in collaboration with the care team.

A current Oklahoma RN license and BLS CPR certification are required; one year of SNF or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma RN license.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• One year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.
• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Ensure the residents’ chart is current.
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions; notify appropriate parties of residents’ change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess the condition of residents.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or conditions of health.
• Modify residents’ care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Nurse Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents’ changes in condition.

As a nurse, you are the backbone of a strong clinical culture. The Licensed Nurse (RN) will help fulfill the care requirements of their patients and will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all residents.

Desired Experience And Education
