Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Greeneville is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, coordinating with families to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires current RN licensure in the practicing state, CPR/BLS, and compliance with assessment and documentation standards. You will administer medications, monitor responses, and communicate changes to the physician or supervisor.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility or state regulations.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care at home.
• Initiates and adapts the plan of care as patient status changes.
• Delivers nursing actions based on patient goals and diagnosis.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and notifies the physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and documents outcomes.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card
