Job description

Starting pay rate is $45 an hour; pay rate is negotiable and based on experience and skill level.

Maxim Healthcare, based in Richmond, VA, is hiring a Registered Nurse to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their homes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services.
• Initiate the plan of care as directed and request revisions from the prescriber as patient needs change.
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and report to the physician or supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor and document their effectiveness.
• Review care plans and protocols, identifying areas for education, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Current RN license for the practicing state.
• Current health certificate (per facility or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
