Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Richmond seeks an experienced RN PreOp/PACU to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
Responsibilities include assisting physicians, monitoring patient status, and coordinating discharge planning. Requires active Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU or critical care experience; weekend/shift flexibility may be needed.

We have 4 OR rooms and perform outpatient surgical procedures in GI, Colorectal, Orthopedic, Pain, Spine, Podiatry. Position requires weekdays only (1 weekend day a month) -- no holidays or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
