PRN Pre-Op/PACU/Pain Registered Nurse at THE Orthopedic Surgery Center

The Pre-Operative Nurse (Pre-op RN) organizes and directs activities according to nursing standards, Joint Commission, Medicare, and all other relevant guidelines. The Pre-op RN cares for patients across all age groups (pediatric, adult, geriatric), admits, evaluates, assesses, and educates patients to prepare them for surgery. They may perform CLIA waived laboratory tests as ordered and communicate assessment information to physicians.

The PACU RN plans, coordinates, and oversees care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, making decisions about patient care needs and communicating with team members and providers. Additional responsibilities may include serving on committees, participating in quality audits, and other projects.

This position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call. Offers a competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the state.
• At least 1 year of RN experience; ASC or OR experience preferred.
• Current American Heart BLS certification.

Hourly rate: $32.50 - $45.50
