Job summary

Brandon Surgery Center, part of Surgery Ventures powered by HCA Healthcare, seeks a Perioperative Nurse to plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care pre- and post-operatively until discharge.

You will join a team with strong staffing support and resources to deliver safe, high-quality care. Required RN license, PACU/ICU/Surgery experience, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptable
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire

Responsibilities

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure
• Conduct complete physical, and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed
• You will exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
• Check dressings and/or operative site of your patients and report abnormalities to the surgeon
• Ensure your patients meet discharge criteria

Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our team as a Perioperative Nurse in our ambulatory surgery center. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care rendered preoperatively and postoperatively until your patients are discharged. What you will do in this role:
