USPI South Denver Surgery Center is seeking a motivated RN PreOP/PACU to join our team. Enjoy weekends off, with no holidays or call. Summit View Surgery Center provides a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center environment committed to high-quality patient care.

As a PACU nurse, you will implement physician orders, ensure continuity and quality of nursing care, evaluate patient conditions continually, and prioritize patient safety, comfort, and privacy. You may assist physicians in procedure rooms, provide conscious sedation, and utilize sterile techniques as appropriate. You are responsible for comprehensive care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge.

Pay: $40 - $48

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Colorado RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PACU/ICU experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize, initiate, and master new skills
• Thorough knowledge of perioperative processes, surgical procedures, and anesthesia implications
• Current nursing assessment and patient care skills
• Telemetry experience required
• Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, and perform light lifting, pulling, and pushing, including bending and kneeling
