Fish Pond Surgery Center in Alabama is seeking a RN PreOp/PACU to deliver continuous, high-quality care for patients before and after anesthesia. You will monitor patient condition, ensure safety and privacy, and support the surgical team as needed in a busy ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited RN program with an active Alabama RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years PACU or critical care experience preferred. Weekdays only; some early mornings and evenings may occur.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program and active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if center requires.
• Two years of PACU or critical care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive care from pre/post anesthesia, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for discharge.

Fish Pond Surgery Center is hiring a RN PreOp/PACU

Welcome to Fish Pond Surgery Center

We have 5 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in General, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Fish Pond Surgery Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
