Job summary

Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, comprehensive nursing care in the PACU, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role includes assisting physicians with conscious sedation, sterile technique, and post-anesthesia care while coordinating discharge planning with the family and care team.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Texas RN license, have graduation from an accredited RN program, and bring BLS and ACLS (PALS if required).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active RN license in the state (Texas).
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous, quality nursing care with ongoing evaluation of patient condition.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times; assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
  • Provide post-anesthesia/ PACU care: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for discharge.
  • Collaborate with the care team to prioritize and coordinate patient care and family education.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Cypress Endoscopy Center

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
