Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Minot, ND, seeks an RN Preadmission to conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, review medical histories, reconcile medications, and identify risk factors to ensure surgical readiness.

You will educate patients, document findings in the EHR, coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams, and support timely medical clearance while promoting patient safety during care transitions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Dakota or compact licensure.
• CPR certification required within orientation period.
• Experience in preadmission or perioperative settings is a plus.
• Ability to review medical histories and reconcile medications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative nursing assessments including medical history review.
• Identify risk factors affecting surgical readiness and educate patients.
• Document assessment findings and teaching in the EHR for decision-making.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize patient preparedness.
• Communicate abnormal findings promptly to supervising providers.
• Support quality-improvement and safety initiatives in preadmission services.
