Job summary

Freeman Health in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Perioperative RN to support patients through the full surgical journey from preoperative prep to post-anesthesia recovery. The role emphasizes rapid assessment, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring safe, high-quality care.

Full-time position, 36 hours/week, scheduled for daytime shifts. Applicants must hold a Missouri RN license (or compact state license) and complete ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a compact state.
• ACLS within 180 days.
• BLS for healthcare providers within 30 days.
• PALS provider within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients and families; plan and implement interventions.
• Coordinate with medical team to ensure safe, effective care.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust plan as needed.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered perioperative recovery support.

What You'll Do

In conjunction with the medical plan of care, independently performs systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of assigned patients and families, plans and implements appropriate interventions, and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current Registered Nurse License from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.

• AHA ACLS within 180 days.

• AHA BLS for healthcare providers within 30 days.

• AHA PALS provider within 180 days.

• Perioperative RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
