Job summary

Freeman Health is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for daytime shifts in Joplin, MO. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments and plan interventions with focus on safe patient care, in collaboration with the medical plan of care.

Applicants must hold a Missouri RN license (or Compact state license) and pass Patient Care Orientation within 30 days if not recently hospital-employed. ACLS/BLS certifications are preferred and required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse License or current RN license from a Compact state.
• If no hospital experience or more than 5 years since last hospital work, complete PCO within 30 days.
• ACLS Certification preferred; ALS/ASLS may be required or preferred; BLS required within 60 days.
• Stroke scale and annual competency requirements as stated.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and families systematically for physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs.
• Plan and implement interventions and evaluate effectiveness; adjust plan as needed to provide safe, effective care.

What You’ll Do

In Conjunction With The Medical Plan Of Care, Independently Performs Systematic And Continuous Assessment Of The Physical, Emotional, Clinical, And Psychosocial Needs Of Assigned Patients And Families; Plans And Implements Appropriate Interventions; And Evaluates Effectiveness And Adjusts Plan As Indicated In A Timely Manner In The Provision Of Safe And Effective Care.

Requirements

Current Missouri Registered Nurse License Or Current Registered Nurse License From A Compact State. If A Compact License Is Held, It Must Be In The Nurse's State Of Residence.

If No Experience As An RN Or LPN In A Hospital Setting Or It Has Been More Than 5 Years Since Last Worked In A Hospital Setting, Nurses Must Successfully Pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) Within 30 Days.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Preferred.
• ASLS Preferred, But Not Required.
• AHA BLS For Healthcare Providers Within 60 Days.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification Within 365 Days.
• RN Competency Day Annually By Transcript Due Date.
